The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire is a top-ranked liberal arts university set on a beautiful campus 90 miles east of the Twin Cities. Approximately 11,000 students take advantage of the university's innovative curriculum, off-campus study programs and numerous collaborative faculty/student research opportunities. UW-Eau Claire offers 80 undergraduate and 20 graduate degree programs, which are organized into four colleges: College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business, College of Education and Human Sciences, and College of Nursing and Health Sciences. Students enjoy small classes taught by expert faculty members and plentiful opportunities to engage in projects that promote critical thinking and prepare students to be engaged citizens and perceptive leaders.
MSEP participants must be degree-seeking students and meet all regular admission requirements. MSEP students will be admitted on a space available basis. To be eligible for the MSEP tuition rate at UW - Eau Claire, a student must:
1. Be a legal resident of Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska or North Dakota. Minnesota students are covered under the Minnesota/Wisconsin tuition reciprocity agreement.
2. For undergraduate programs, apply and be accepted for admission. Consult the Admissions Office website for fall and spring application deadlines.
3. For graduate programs, apply and be accepted for admission. Deadlines vary by program. Consult the Admissions Office for more information.
4. Additionally, since the University of Wisconsin System imposes an "Excess Credits Surcharge" upon students accumulating more than 165 credits, MSEP students will be charged at regular non-resident rates for any term of enrollment after having accumulated 165 credits as MSEP participants.
**Since the intent of the MSEP is to admit students into programs with excess enrollment capacity, students must declare an intended major. Undeclared students will not receive the MSEP tuition discount.
