MHEC’s applied research advances student success, workforce readiness, and college accessibility and affordability.
MHEC’s programs respond to challenges that require interstate cooperation.
MHEC convenes regional leaders to address emerging topics in postsecondary education.
MHEC works with higher education system leaders, state policymakers, legislators,
and institutional leaders to strengthen postsecondary education.
MHEC is comprised of 12 member states from the Midwestern region of the U.S.
Colleges and universities benefit in many ways from MHEC's contracts, research, programs, and initiatives.
Through MHEC’s student reciprocity agreements, students and families in the Midwest save millions of dollars annually.
