This one-hour virtual meeting hosted by the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) and the Midwestern Higher Education Compact (MHEC) for chief academic officers and chief financial officers interested in discussing best practices regarding risk management planning. Jennifer Dahlquist, Vice President, MHEC and Joseph Rayzor, JD, Director of Risk Management, University of Northern Iowa will discuss MHEC’s innovative risk management and business solutions programs and the long-ranging risks that CAOs and CFOs need to anticipate and navigate. Sarah Leibrandt, Director of Strategy, Impact, and Academic Partnerships at WICHE will be moderating. Given the current reality with changing weather patterns, academic leaders should be thinking about and developing inclement weather plans and contingencies for natural disasters. Knowledge of the campus physical plant and how best to partner with those outside Academic Affairs are impactful sources of planning and problem-solving.
In this hour-long conversation, participants will learn about existing risk management resources and converse with other CAOs and CFOs about challenges and solutions faced at their own institutions.
