The U.S. Department of Labor funded $1.9 billion for community colleges to build their capacity and innovate career and technical education across the nation. SkillsCommons is the free and open online library of all the course materials produced by the 256 projects that engaged over 700 community colleges. Advanced manufacturing, healthcare, sustainability, mining & quarrying, construction, IT, professional services, and more are the industry sectors that SkillsCommons provides free and open educational resources (OER) to download, reuse, revise, remix, retain, and redistribute. The webinar will demonstrate how you can easily search, find, and download instructional materials as well as program outreach, student advising materials, program evaluation materials and more support resources.  Showcasing how SkillsCommons can create customized portals and repositories to support regional needs will be included, as well as how the online resources can support teaching “hands-on” skills and knowledge during the current COVID pandemic.
