About this Indicator
The number of undergraduate credentials conferred measures the number of certificates, associate degrees, and baccalaureate degrees awarded over a 12-month period between July 1st of one year through June 30th of the following year. The number of credentials in 2020, for instance, represents the number of credentials awarded between July 1, 2019, and June 30, 2020.

Note. The Carnegie Classification system was used to categorize institutions by sector. Public institutions with mixed categories were classified according to their distribution of associate and bachelor’s degrees awarded. Caution should be exercised when making sector comparisons over time since an institution’s classification may change.
