The past two years higher education faced incredible challenges responding to an unprecedented pandemic. These challenges cast a brighter light on the mental health struggles of students, faculty, and staff. The JED Foundation’s work shifts the culture and conversation around mental health by focusing on a public health approach to promoting positive mental health and reducing suicide and substance misuse among teens and young adults. This session will focus on current mental health trends on college campuses, the impact of the pandemic, risks posed to students, faculty and staff, and suggested strategies for mitigating risk. Learn about effective ways your campus can support students, faculty, and staff in managing mental health during this challenging time.
